You must decide whether you do not resist an abductor or you resist. Will your abductor kill you in the near future? If you do as you are told will you be harmed or not? Whatever you decide to do, you are gambling with your life, whether you resist or not. What action will you take if you commit to resist an abductor?
Imagine that you are walking along the side of a road, going in the same direction as the traffic. You can not see what, or who, may be coming along the road behind you. You have walked this way many times before and because of this, you find the walk very boring. So you switch your mind to internal happenings to pass the time – you are in deep thought. While you are thinking, answer the following questions:
What would you do if someone driving a car, stopped beside you, pointed a gun at you and said, "GET IN THE CAR?"
Make no mistake about it, if someone points a gun, holds a knife to your back, or grabs you with the intention of taking you to a vehicle of some sort, that someone intends to abduct you!
You can do one of two things:
Do not resist – go with him.
-
Resist – do not go with him.
What you are about to read will increase your awareness and give you options. There are no guarantees! You must decide whether you do not resist or you resist if confronted by an abductor.
Do not resist
You need to be aware that if you do not resist, you are giving up your freedom! You are putting your life completely in the hands of your abductor. There is a very real possibility that your abductor will kill you in the near future.
It has been said that we humans do everything we do for either sex or for money. If you are not financially wealthy, it is safe for you to assume that your abductor is abducting you so he can use you for sex and/or kill you.
Why kill you? Because you will know what he looks like. By abducting you, he has already broken the law, and if he allows you to live, you could identify him. Abduction, in the eyes of the law, is a big no-no. So, if he is caught, charged, and convicted, he will more than likely go to jail - where he belongs!
You may be thinking that if you do as you are told you may not be harmed, and eventually, you will be set free, because you cooperated with him. Or will you?
If YOU abducted someone and they did exactly what you told them to do, would you let them go and risk being locked up? Probably not!
Resist
Whatever you decide to do, you are gambling with your life, whether you resist or not. If you decide to resist, he will either realize that you are not the easy target he had hoped you would be, and leave in a hurry. He will hurt you then leave in a hurry, with or without you. Or he will try to kill you right there on the spot.
The more aware you are of your options, the greater your chances will be for successfully resisting. When you resist you must be committed to NOT getting in his vehicle. You MUST succeed, no matter what!
Think about it right now! What action will you take the second you commit to resist?
If there is ever a "right time" to use some of the most powerful strike techniques available to you, then this is it! Eye gouges, strikes to the throat, and the groin grab are some of the most effective options open to you. It’s all about awareness, options, and action – run, or hit and run!
When you run, he will either chase you or he won’t (he risks being seen). If he has a gun or a knife, he will either attempt to hurt you with it or he won’t (he may miss). Whatever happens… at the end of the day, you will win (you escape) or he will win (you die)!
Have you ever wondered why murder victims often get stabbed or shot multiple times (20 plus)? It is because it’s not easy to hit/stab a human being who is fighting for their life. Moreover, it is not that easy to hit an area of the body that will cause someone to die instantly.
It is fairly safe to say that a person who is stabbed 20 times did not take the time to learn how to defend him or herself! So, it is worth noting that if someone is trying to kill you, they may not be successful on their first attempt. You may still get away! The opposite is also true… it may take YOU more than one strike to stop an abductor, so be aware, have options, and always be ready to run.
When you run, run in the opposite direction to that which the abductor’s vehicle is facing. This will give you more time to escape if he decides to chase after you in his car. He will have to turn his car around first. This will work best if he thinks that you will be such an easy target that he can remain in his car, point a gun at you and say, "Get in the car!" It’s that easy for some abductors!
Conclusion
Whatever you decide to do, you are gambling with your life, whether you resist or not. If you do not resist, you will lose your freedom and maybe your life. If you do resist, you remain free, in control and are more likely to stay alive. Run if, or when you can, resist if you can’t escape. Be aware, have options, and take action.
